Two oncologists are participating in this year's Sacred Treks, our global mountaineering expedition, which will take place in Nepal's Mustang region. Marin County newspaper chain, Marinscope, published an article about the climb featuring Dr. Bobbie Head and Dr. Jennifer Lucas, of the Marin Cancer Institute, who have each raised about $6,000 for the Breast Cancer Fund.

“[The trek] is going to be a lot of time to reflect on the meaning of our work, what this means for our patients and other people who are affected by cancer,” Lucas said.

The article also features Breast Cancer Fund wonderwoman, Cathy Ann Taylor, in addition to two-time Climb Against the Odds participant, Leslie Vanoni, who is Dr. Head's patient. We're happy to see so many members of the Breast Cancer Fund family get some well-deserved attention for their amazing work to prevent breast cancer before it starts.
