The first rope team has reached the summit and the final team has crested the west face.
Right now three rope teams are a few hundred feet below the crest and still visible on the west face from base camp. The other teams have reached the crest.
If you’re in Shasta right now, you can see there’s a blanket of fog covering the peak of the mountain.
The whole team of 34 departed Hidden Valley base camp many hours before sunrise this morning.
There wasn’t a dry eye on the house down here in town when we got word just a few minutes ago that every climber has now made it to Hidden Valley base camp at 9,400 feet.
To cheers from the crowd and under sunny skies, all 34 Climb Against the Odds team members departed Bunny Flat trailhead this morning.
